Germany-based global sportlifestyle brand PUMA® has introduced the Usain Bolt line of men's athletic apparel featuring Santa Monica, Calif.-based Hologenix LLC's Celliant® technology. The line is named for Usain Bolt, the world-record-breaking Jamaican sprinter who won three gold medals at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing and again at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

The technology features a blend of 13 ingredients including natural minerals that are incorporated into polyester fibers. The minerals convert body heat into far infrared light that is then reabsorbed by the body into muscle tissue. In clinical testing, Celliant has been shown to improve athletic endurance, increase oxygen levels in body tissue and stimulate healing and recovery, and improve sleep quality.

For Spring 2013, the Usain Bolt line includes tops and bottoms featuring Celliant technology.
