Fiberweb To Expand Old Hickory Plant
Nonwoven fabrics maker Fiberweb Plc, London, is to invest $15 million to expand its Old Hickory,
Tenn., facility, adding a 300,000-square-foot warehouse and distribution center, and consolidating
all operations to one location to streamline production and reduce its carbon footprint.
Over the past four years, Fiberweb has added a $12 million state-of-the-art R&D center
and invested $25 million to build an on-site shale-gas-powered utility plant in Old Hickory. The
facility employs 500 people.
