Techtextil 2013 Exhibitor Preview: Frenzelit Werke GmbH
It is not just in racing cars that complete reliability is essential. Components and system solutions need to be absolutely dependable in less powerful cars too. This explains why Frenzelit's highly temperature-resistant needlemats and woven fabrics can be found at many different locations in cars. The new moulded parts are outstandingly effective wherever they are used, because they require a minimum of space to provide optimum high-temperature insulation. isoTHERM® SG parts are based on extremely strong HT fibres and special chemistry. This makes sure that the insulation materials are dimensionally stable, which permits exact positioning and secure attachment even when very little space is available. The precision parts can be produced individually according to the customer's specifications. They are popular with designers because of their individual geometric versatility - including variable wall thicknesses with 3D shapes too - and their low heat conductivity. isoTHERM® SG moulded parts do not contain any pollutants and develop neither smoke nor odour. Since they have no projecting or free fibres, they do not cause any problems in laser welding and do not lead to any irritation of fitters' skin.
Stay in shape even at high temperatures
isoTHERM® SG moulded parts resist temperatures of up to 1,100°C. The 5 to 25 mm thick material has a density of > 200 kg per cubic metre. The minimum shrinkage level of less than 1% makes the material very resistant to changes in temperature - strength is maintained even after exposure to high temperatures - while it does not tend to form cracks either. The moulded parts also enjoy pole position with customers because no waste or trim is produced. Since they are dust-free, they help to improve workplace hygiene.
