NSA's UltraSoft® Fleece Sweatshirts Certified To NFPA 2112
National Safety Apparel (NSA) — a Cleveland-based manufacturer of protective apparel for industrial
safety applications — announces its UltraSoft® flame-resistant (FR) fleece sweatshirts have been
certified by third-party product safety certification organization UL to National Fire Protection
Association (NFPA) 2112: Standard on Flame-resistant Garments for Protection of Industrial
Personnel Against Flash Fire. According to the company, the shirts are the only sweatshirts to be
garment-certified by UL to the standard.
"With the already proven NFPA 70E arc flash protection of our UltraSoft fleece sweatshirts, certifying this product with UL has allowed us to provide documented flash fire protection as well - protection from two life threatening hazards in one garment," said Jeff Martin, director of technology, NSA.
