Mutoh America Introduces ValueJet 1638W, 4-liter Ink Pack Adapter
Phoenix-based Mutoh America Inc. — a manufacturer of wide-format printing solutions including
flatbed and fabric printers, and a subsidiary of Tokyo-based Mutoh Industries Ltd. — has introduced
the ValueJet 1638W, a 64-inch textile and dye sublimation printer designed for printing on custom
clothing, apparel, promotional items, trade show graphics, flags, banners, displays and interior
design, among other products.
The 1638W, designed to print using aqueous-based and dye-sublimation inks, features staggered dual print heads and can print at speeds greater than 1,000 square feet per hour. It has eight cartridges and four-color capability and soon will be available with eight-color capability. Other features include the Intelligent Interweave (I2) print technique to eliminate banding; and the ValueJet Status Monitor (VSM), which allows users to connect to the printer via a smart phone to monitor the printer's status.
Mutoh also has debuted the 4-liter High Capacity Ink Pack Adapter to accommodate four 1-liter CMYK Eco-Ultra ink bags. Mutoh reports the ink bags, which are designed for high production printing and are compatible with the ValueJet 1324, 1624 and 1638 printers, are made using minimal materials and offer increased cost savings after just a few uses.
