Carhartt To Offer Garments Made With TenCate Tecasafe® Plus Fabrics
Union City, Ga.-based TenCate Protective Fabrics Americas -- manufacturer of inherently
flame-resistant (FR) protective apparel fabrics, and a division of The Netherlands-based Royal Ten
Cate's TenCate Protective Fabrics business -- announces a collaboration with Dearborn, Mich.-based
workwear brand Carhartt to develop a line of FR garments featuring TenCate Tecasafe® Plus fabric.
TenCate Tecasafe Plus fabric offers comfort and durability as well as inherent flame resistance -- including arc and flash fire protection lasting twice as long as FR-treated cotton fabrics -- at an affordable price, TenCate reports. Carhartt will introduce workwear featuring the fabric in August 2012 and initially will offer the garments in two weight and colors.
