Scapa Group plc — a United Kingdom-based global manufacturer of bonding solutions and adhesive components for industrial, automotive, electronics and healthcare applications — now offers customized environmentally friendly non-halogen-based flame-retardant (FR) adhesive solutions for industrial uses. According to the company, non-halogen-based adhesives produce no hydrochloric by-products, generate less smoke than halogen-based adhesives, are stable to aging, have low migration, do not gain weight and are waterproof.

The company, whose Scapa North America subsidiary is based in Windsor, Conn., will work with its customers to provide solutions that meet product and industry specifications. It also offers onsite technical service, and uses state-of-the-art laboratory equipment and tolerance-specific testing procedures such as UL 94 vertical flame test methods.
