Young Takes Helm At DAK Americas
Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) resin and polyester staple fiber producer DAK Americas LLC,
Charlotte, has promoted Jorge Young to president and CEO. Young, formerly executive vice president
- PET Resins, succeeds Hector Camberos, who has retired from that position, which he has held since
the founding of DAK Americas in 2001 as a subsidiary of Mexico-based Alfa S.A.B. de C.V.
Camberos will return to his home in Argentina to lead DAK Americas' Argentina PET business. He also will be involved with Alfa's strategic growth initiatives and new business developments in South America.
Young will lead DAK Americas' Executive Team, which also includes Jon McNaull, vice president - Resins; Tom Sherlock, vice president - Specialty Polymers; and Mark Ruday, vice president - Fibers.
