Tradegood Sourcing Tool Debuts
Tradegood, a business-to-business sourcing community created to connect apparel and footwear buyers
with suppliers across more than 100 countries, debuted last week at Sourcing at MAGIC in Las Vegas.
The tool, which employs the "business done right" verification process, rates suppliers based on more than 50 criteria - including operational history, employee count, regulatory compliance and environmental sustainability - to help buyers make efficient partnership decisions. Buyer and supplier groups including the American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA), Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP), Council of Textile and Fashion Industries of Australia, and the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association already are utilizing Tradegood.
"Tradegood connects you with the right suppliers that are authenticated, providing the compatibility and transparency that are often lacking in the global supply chain," said William Quilindo, president, Tradegood. "The global supply chain is an area of vulnerability for many businesses. The only way to ensure that your suppliers align with your corporate values as well as with social, environmental, security, safety and quality standards is to know that you are dealing with real companies, real people, with real products and services. Your corporate reputation and bottom line depend on knowing who you are doing business with."
Tradegood introduced Trade Café, a physical area for buyers and suppliers to convene, at Sourcing at MAGIC. Other Trade Café locations will open in New York City, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong, and will include video conference facilities to facilitate business-matching activities.
