ACIMIT Hosts International Textile Manufacturers Federation For Important Workshop
MILAN — April 2012 — The ITMF (International Textile Manufacturers Federation) Textile Machinery
Workshop & Dinner 2012 will be held in Milan this coming 19 April. The event is organized in a
different country every year, and ACIMIT (the Association of Italian Textile Machinery
Manufacturers) will co-host this year's event at its Milan headquarters.
The workshop will deal with the situation of the global textile and textile machinery industry and future prospects for the sector. There will be the participation of the ITMF executive board, as well as a significant number of leading textile machinery manufacturers from around the world, especially from Italy, who have been invited to the event.
The ITMF Textile Machinery Workshop & Dinner 2012 is a unique opportunity for high-level representatives of leading international textile machinery companies and honorary officers of ITMF to meet and discuss views and expectations for the global textile and textile machinery industries. The presentation of the preliminary results of ITMF's International Textile Machinery Shipment Statistics 2011 and additional presentations provide the ideal basis for in depth discussions and analysis. ITMF is very glad that in 2012 ACIMIT is co-hosting this event in Milan," says Mr. Bashir Ali Mohammad, ITMF President.
As underscored by Sandro Salmoiraghi, President of ACIMIT, "It's important to have events such as these, where different operators in the textile sector can meet to discuss and find solutions to the issues reaching us from the various global markets. We're absolutely delighted to be hosting this ITMF initiative, and we're certain that it will provide many of our manufacturers participating with an opportunity to draw comparisons with the world's most prominent textile players."
Hoping the ITMF workshop also provides ACIMIT with an opportunity to give substance to its recent decision to join ITMF as an associated member. ACIMIT gives priority to developing more frequent relations with all of the different players in the textile sector," says Mr. Salmoiraghi. "At a global level, Italy's textile machinery industry is one of the major partners for many textile manufacturers. Virtually every country with a textile manufacturing presence has Italian machinery installed in its factories. Thanks to the development of these relationships, we can strengthen Italy's leadership position as a technology supplier in the textile industry.
