Fehrer Automotive North America To Relocate Facility
Automotive interior components supplier Fehrer Automotive North America LLC — a subsidiary of F.S.
Fehrer Automotive GmbH, Germany — will invest more than $14 million to relocate its production
operations from its current 80,000 square feet of combined manufacturing and warehousing facilities
in Fountain Inn, S.C., to a 100,000-square-foot site in Duncan, S.C., creating 130 jobs. The new
facility will have additional space available for future expansion.
"We are excited to become part of the Spartanburg County business community and look forward to continued growth, as well as our ability to add additional jobs in the local community," said Fehrer spokeswoman Robin Mathis.
With 22 production plants located in the United States, Europe, South Africa and Asia, Fehrer develops and supplies molded seat pads for car seats, arm rests, center consoles, side bolsters, headrests, inner trim panels, and structural parts for cars.
