TenCate Supplies Flame Resistant Fabrics For Canadian Air Force

UNION CITY, Ga. — November 14, 2011 — TenCate Protective Fabrics in Canada is providing flame resistant (FR) fabric for two successful tenders in the Canadian military market. The first tender is to manufacture garments for the Canadian Air Force, made with FR fabric from the TenCate Brigade® portfolio. The second tender was awarded to TenCate Protective Fabrics directly and involves the use of TenCate Campshield™ FR tent fabrics.

The garment for the Advance Combat Ensemble (ACE) used by the Canadian Air Force will be manufactured by Peerless Garments of Winnipeg (Manitoba, Canada). TenCate Protective Fabrics will supply Nomex® based 7.5 ounce TenCate Brigade® FR fabric in three colors for the manufacture of these garments. The combination of the technical textile expertise of TenCate and the reputation for design quality of Peerless Garments will ensure the best protection and durability in these new garments for the Canadian Air Force.

Flame resistant tent fabric
Public Works & Public Services Canada issued a contract directly to TenCate Protective Fabrics to supply TenCate Campshield™ FR liner fabric made with Nomex® for use in the tents for all Canadian Defence Forces.
