Kermel Introduces INSULRIGHT® Paper

France-based Kermel — a manufacturer of aramid fibers used in heat- and flame-resistant protective clothing — has introduced INSULRIGHT® thermal and electrical paper for insulation in high-temperature environments up to 180ºC. Based on Kermel® aramid fibers, Insulright paper is available in calendered or non-calendered forms as well as a triple-layer laminate construction including either a polyester or polyimide film. Kermel offers the paper in thicknesses of 50, 80 and 130 microns and higher, and in ribbons, rolls, and other formats. The company also reports that Insulright has good electrical and mechanical properties of more than 14 kilovolts per millimeter.
