INDEX 11 Exhibitor Preview: FiberVisions/ES FiberVisions
Denmark — February 14, 2011 — FiberVisions® and ES FIBERVISIONS will launch new fiber innovations
to meet the challenge of accelerating change in nonwovens' trends at INDEX 2011 in Geneva (Stand
2119).
With a focus on their strong customized product development approach, the world-leading polyolefin and bicomponent fiber specialists will emphasize their increased efforts to be at the leading edge of innovative, eco-efficient solutions that support differentiation by nonwovens producers.
New products addressing performance, manufacturing efficiency and ecology-related challenges include:
• Shaped polypropylene (PP) staple fibers: providing the ability to reduce fabric basic weight and deliver improved coverage.
• Fine dtex PP fibers: for lower basis weight fabrics and materials with enhanced hand-feel.
• High brightness fibers: with improved masking properties.
• PP / PET (polypropylene / polyester) bico fibers: specifically developed for customers who use ultra-sonic welding to bond fabrics. The fibers avoid the use of chemical binders and provide bulkiness and resilience.
• Biodegradable Bico (BBC) fiber: an industrial compostable fiber that meets normal handling and processing requirements.
The INDEX 2011 Stand will illustrate both companies' commitment to meet the specific challenges of customers in the hygiene sector. FiberVisions and ES FIBERVISIONS enforce high standards of hygiene throughout the development and production lifecycle of polyolefin and composite fibers. Dedicated quality management systems in line with the strict hygiene-sector requirements will be highlighted at the show.
Strategic growth to meet regional and local demands in nonwovens' production will also come under the spotlight at INDEX 2011. FiberVisions' most recent strengthening of its production and support capabilities for South America in 2009 was the creation of FiberVisions South America, a 50/50 joint venture with Tel Rad Cuyo (TRC). New initiatives are underway to support the growth.
"The world is changing, demands are changing, products and performance is changing, and we have the ability to change with it," comments Dr Steve Wood, Chief Executive Officer FiberVisions. "Sometimes we initiate the changes and other times our customers or their customers through market needs and opportunities drive the change. But we are readily embracing these opportunities and the change with the fuel to drive our business towards successful growth with our customers."
