Cotton Incorporated Works With Cana Collection

Cotton Incorporated — the Cary, N.C.-based research and marketing company representing U.S. upland cotton and cotton importers — reports New York City-based upscale lifestyle and athletic apparel brand Cana Collection® is using its TransDRY™ technology for a high-end activewear collection. TransDry is a cotton finish that provides moisture-transferring and quick-drying properties while maintaining a garment's comfort and softness and keeping the wearer cool (See " Cotton Incorporated Debuts TransDRY™ Technology," Textile World, September/October 2008).

Cana Collection initially will offer four tops - two for men and two for women — made using Pima cotton and TransDry technology.

"Our Cotton Lifestyle Monitor™ data reveal that when consumers were asked whether they would purchase cotton sports apparel that offered the same performance features as synthetics, almost all of them (97 percent) said they would prefer a cotton alternative or would be willing to try it," said David Earley, senior director, Global Supply Chain Marketing, Cotton Incorporated.
