INDA Presents RISE Durable Product Award To Aptra Elements
The Cary, N.C.-based Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry (INDA) has presented the
inaugural RISE Durable Product Award to Aptra® Elements — a metallic, reflective, breathable
air-barrier membrane that has applications in the architecture, building, construction, marine,
tent and upholstery industries. The membrane is produced by Rome, Ga.-based microporous film
manufacturer RKW US Inc., a member of the Germany-based RKW-Group.
The RISE Durable Product Award is presented to a commercially available consumer or industrial durable nonwoven product that is made using nonwoven fabric and/or technology. The membrane was one of five finalists for the award, which was presented during the second annual Research, Innovation & Science for Engineered Fabrics (RISE) Conference held recently in Raleigh, N.C.
