Consolidated Fibers To Launch Consolidated Fibers Latinoamerica
Charlotte-based Consolidated Fibers — a supplier of Basofil® and other fibers to manufacturers in
industries including hygiene, medical, filtration, automotive, furniture and home textiles, among
other industries — will open Consolidated Fibers Latinoamerica, a subsidiary based in Mexico City,
Mexico, that initially will sell polyester textured filament and flat yarn to customers in Mexico
and eventually to Central and South American customers. The subsidiary also plans to expand its
product lines to include polyester, rayon, polypropylene and other staple fibers for nonwovens,
fiberfill and industrial end-uses.
The subsidiary will be able to offer its products in a range of quantities from one box of filament yarn to complete truckloads. "Customer service is what sets Consolidated Fibers Latinoamericana apart," said Paul Latten, general manager, Consolidated Fibers. "A team of individuals with more than 70 years of experience will provide local sales and technical service to our clients. Understanding the product, processing and logistical needs of our customers improves the value equation for them by saving time and money."
Consolidated Fibers Latinoamericana also has launched a Spanish-language website, www.consolidatedfiberslatino.com, for its customers in Latin America.
