Freudenberg Texbond Receives Existing Industry Of The Year Award In Georgia

Macon, Ga.-based Freudenberg Texbond LP — a Freudenberg Politex company and a division of
Germany-based Freudenberg & Co. KG — recently received the “Existing Industry of the Year”
award from the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce at its 149th Annual Meeting. The award is
presented to companies in recognition of their contribution to the community, and this year,
Freudenberg Texbond beat out 23 other companies in the “less than 500 employees” category.

The Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce recognized the company as a “green” company for its
recycling of post-consumer polyethylene terephlatate (PET) bottles into nonwovens products that are
sold as reinforcement for bituminous waterproofing membranes. Freudenberg Texbond also was honored
for its civic and charitable activities throughout the region.

“The Macon Chamber of Commerce chose our company as a Good Corporate Citizen, by not only
providing jobs for central Georgians, but also for investing time, money and other resources in the
community,” said Richard Shaw, president and CEO, Freudenberg Texbond.
