Clinton, Tenn.-based Climashield -- a manufacturer of continuous filament insulation for outdoor, recreation, military and hospitality markets -- has developed a new outerwear version of its lightweight and thermally efficient Climashield® Apex insulation. The enhanced Apex insulation offers traditional continuous filament properties but has a high density, low loft and soft hand. It also features AquaBlock™ surface encapsulation technology that wicks moisture from the body to provide thermal protection even in wet conditions. According to Climashield, the 100-percent recyclable insulation is durable and compressible and will not flatten over time.
