Optimer Brands, Wilmington, Del., has launched dri release® Tencel® -- a blend of drirelease fiber with FreshGuard® moisture-wicking, anti-odor technology and Tencel regenerated cellulosic fiber from Lenzing AG, Austria. Optimer reports the fabric dries four times faster than cotton and offers a luxurious drape and soft feel.

Labtex Co. Ltd., a fabric supplier based in Taiwan and Shanghai, and Shandong Sunshell Group Clothing Manufacturing Co. Ltd., China, have developed drirelease Tencel knits. Several brands are developing programs to offer retail products.
