Industrial productivity solutions provider Atlas Copco, Sweden, will purchase Bay Minette, Ala.-based Quincy Compressor -- a designer and manufacturer of reciprocating compressors, rotary screw compressors and vacuum pumps -- from engineered products producer EnPro Industries Inc., Charlotte. The company plans to further develop Quincy as an independent brand.

Atlas Copco also has acquired the compressor division of its Baton Rouge, La.-based compressor distributor, Premier Equipment Corp. Inc.
