Hunter Douglas Contract Introduces GreenScreen® Revive, a New Window Covering Fabric Made with REPREVE®, a Fiber made from 100% Recycled Materials

CHICAGO — November 17, 2010 — With the addition of GreenScreen ® Revive, Hunter Douglas Contract now offers the most sustainable window shading fabric on the market. The fabric is made of 100% PVC-free polyester and contains a minimum of 89% REPREVE ® fibers. GreenScreen Revive we’ll be previewed at the Nysan booth #2192 at Greenbuild November 17-19, 2010, and available to the market January 2011.

GreenScreen ® Revive fabric is made with REPREVE polyester. REPREVE is made from 100% recycled materials making it one of the most earth-friendly ingredients you’ll find anywhere. When compared to the production process of virgin polyester, every one-pound of REPREVE polyester yarn conserves the equivalent of 0.4 gallons of gasoline. Every yard of GreenScreen Revive uses 11 post-consumer bottles.

“Adding GreenScreen ® Revive to our extensive selection of roller shade fabrics extends our commitment to produce high quality products that deliver significant environmental benefits,” said Rich Ries, General Manager, Hunter Douglas Contract.
