Phenix City, Ala.-based textile testing laboratory TexTest has added equipment manufactured by Switzerland-based Uster Technologies AG to its laboratory. According to the company, the Uster® yarn evenness tester and Uster Tensojet yarn breaking strength and elongation tester will enable it to offer more extensive yarn quality measurements with regard to evenness, thick and thin places, neps, slubs, breaking strength and elongation. Additional tests TexTest can provide include yarn size, yarn twist, breaking strength, skein method, hairiness and dimensional stability.
