Oerlikon Introduces Accotex® Belts And Splice Equipment, Texparts® Maier Flyer
Switzerland-based Oerlikon Textile Components now offers drive and conveyor belts and splice
equipment under the Accotex® brand. The company warrants that all belts offer superior wear
resistance including durable belt edges, oil- and grease-resistant surfaces, and insensitivity to
moisture and temperature; and high dimensional stability and antistatic properties to assure
consistent yarn quality. The belts also contribute to improved efficiencies of machinery operation
as well as a reduction of energy usage and noise levels.
Detailed splicing instructions and one-on-one training are available, in addition to after-sales service. Splicing equipment is easy to use, according to the company, and is available for both W-splices and Z-splices.
Oerlikon also has added the Texparts® Maier Flyer to its Texparts product line for roving frames. The Maier Flyer enables an easy insertion of the roving into the hollow arm, and features a presser fixing system that ensures accurate and constant pressing even after repeated fixing. According to Oerlikon, the lightweight, all-aluminum, aerodynamically designed flyer is more energy-efficient than traditional steel flyers.
The portfolio includes three models: spindle-driven FL1 for conventional spindles; top-driven FL2 for spindles with extended central shafts; and top-driven FL3 for spindles without extended central shafts. It covers not only flyers for different requirements but also accessories including false twisters; presser packages including pressers, screw pins and bushes; and nipples. Oerlikon offers maintenance recommendations for all Texparts Maier Flyer parts.
