Textured yarn and related materials producer Unifi Inc., Greensboro, N.C., has added recycled polyester fiber and filament made from 100-percent post-consumer polyethylene terephthalate (PET) to its Repreve® recycled products family, which also includes 100-percent hybrid pre- and post-consumer recycled polyester filament, recycled nylon 6,6 filament, recycled polyester staple and recycled performance fibers made using flame-retardant, moisture-wicking, stretch and/or color technologies.

Unifi also has launched U Trust™, a verification program developed to ensure the integrity of products made with Repreve. The program includes Fiberprint™ tracing technology to certify the level of Repreve content in fabrics and products.
