Kellett Enterprises Certified As Woman-Owned Business Enterprise
Greenville-based Kellett Enterprises Inc. -- a manufacturer and distributor of textile machinery,
accessories and supplies -- has been certified by the National Women Business Owners Corp. (NWBOC)
as a woman-owned and controlled business. NWBOC's certification program increases the ability of
women business owners to compete nationally for corporate and government contracts.
"Certification provides a marketing opportunity for woman-owned business enterprises to participate in outreach programs," said Claudia Kellett-NcNabb, president and CEO, Kellett Enterprises. "This program enables us to develop relationships with larger companies and to create opportunities for future partnerships in both the public and private sectors."
Louise C. Kellett founded the Loom Products Co. in 1960 and served as president until 2004. In 1989, the company was renamed Kellett Enterprises and has been run by women since its inception.
In the late 1960s, Kellett developed and patented the LP-13 Shake Absorber® Vibration Isolation Pad, the first three-layer shake absorber to receive a US patent. The LP-13 Pad continues to be sold internationally and is used by manufacturers of large weaving machinery and other equipment. Kellett's 16,000-square-foot facility in Greenville houses its manufacturing operations and office space.
