West Berlin, N.J.-based materials testing instrument manufacturer Thwing-Albert Instrument Co. now offers the 240-7B Pneumatic Alfa Sample Cutter for preparing test samples of fabrics, tissue paper, heavy papers, cardboard, plastics, rubber and foils. The cutter uses interchangeable, configurable, and easy to load steel rule dies to cut samples measuring up to 11 inches by 11 inches. The 240-7B is air-operated and provides 7 tons of cutting pressure. It replaces the 240-7A Pneumatic Cutter, although Alfa Dies for that model are still available.
