Lawson Releases Updated QuickStep Fashion, Fashion PLM
St. Paul, Minn.-based Lawson Software has released an updated version of Lawson QuickStep Fashion,
its enterprise software solution that manages the core business processes of fashion sourcing
companies and manufacturers. The enhanced QuickStep solution now offers comprehensive business
process documentation and more than 160 educational videos; support for multidivision,
multiwarehouse environments; a US chart of accounts and sales tax information; and European sales
tax processes. QuickStep Fashion also can link supply chain orders to related orders, offering
sourcing companies improved supply chain visibility and control. Other added features include joint
dispatch management on sales orders; and drop-ship management and pre-configured processes for
handling royalty payments, agent commission and respective discounts.
The company also has updated its Lawson Fashion Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution, a Web-based suite of applications used to help manage products from design through production. Lawson has enhanced the Storyboard, Line Optimizer, Product Manager, Fabric & Trim and Source module functions, adding ease-of-use features such as "select all" boxes, quick copy buttons, and a keyword search. The latest release also includes the first standard interface between Lawson Fashion PLM and the Lawson M3 Enterprise Management System, facilitating the transfer of style information between the systems, and deployment of applications either separately or at the same time.
