Harry Lucas Introduces RR2-Z-FBR-108

Germany-based Harry Lucas GmbH & Co. KG -- a manufacturer of circular and warp knitting machines, and other specialty textile machinery -- has introduced the RR2-Z-FBR-108 machine for producing cylindrical, conical and curved tubular knitted fabrics for knee, ankle and elbow support.

Machine features include: programmable fabric width by vitiating elastic tensions; freely programmable tuck control to provide the fabric window and marking lines; stitch size control; a fabric takedown unit that enables production of curved pieces of clothing; and a step-free drive with electromagnetic brake for quick stopping of the machine.

The RR2-Z-FBR-108 also is available with options such as tension-free delivery of the elastic yarn to the main feed via an electronically-controlled pre-feed device to even out tension variations that occur when yarn is wound off the cone; and knitting pockets, which allow stiffeners to be inserted.
