Karl Mayer China Celebrates Opening Of Wujin Facility
Karl Mayer China Ltd. — a subsidiary of Germany-based Karl Mayer Textilmaschinenfabrik GmbH, a
manufacturer of warp preparation, warp-knitting and raschel machines — recently invited more than
500 guests to celebrate the opening of a new facility in the Wujin Hi-Tech Industrial Zone in
Changzhou City, China. Activities included a formal ceremony, a visit to the new factory, and a
tour of the showroom, where the company presented its new ML 33CD multibar raschel machine; HKS
2-3E tricot machine with carbon fiber-reinforced plastic components; and the TM 2, a new basic
machine in the TM series.
Karl Mayer began planning the facility in spring 2006 and moved to the new site in March 2008. Production officially began on July 26. Located in Jiangsu province, Karl Mayer China’s 55,000-square-meter facility includes production, assembly, service, spare parts and administration departments; the Karl Mayer Academy China, where clients can receive comprehensive training; and a showroom with a permanent display of the company’s machinery and equipment.
