Effective immediately, DuPont, Wilmington, Del., has implemented a price increases for nonwoven fabrics, including DuPont™ Sontara® and Tyvek® products. The company cited increasing costs of raw materials, energy and transportation in announcing the price increase.

According to Barry M. Granger, vice president and general manager, DuPont Nonwovens, DuPont has been working in numerous ways to manage and alleviate the effects of rising energy and raw material costs to lessen the need for price increases.
