INDA Establishes Online Intern Program, Proposes Community College Curriculum
The Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry (INDA) now offers an online intern program at its
website,
www.inda.org. The new section
enables INDA member companies to post available intern positions for online viewing by students,
who may then contact the companies directly regarding available internships. Students may also
complete an online form and post it for review by member companies, which can then contact
qualified students for available positions.
“The recruiting process for young talent today is extremely competitive and an industry such as ours needs to aggressively reach out to these young men and women to promote all that our companies have to offer,” said Rory Holmes, president, INDA. “The INDA Intern Program will market our industry and our association to allow us to identify and train future employees.”
In addition to the intern program, INDA is in discussions with Hickory, N.C.-based Catawba Valley Community College to establish a course that will focus on educating and training future factory and plant employees. The association hopes to finalize details sometime this year.
