H&V Launches HVision™ Technology Platform

Hollingsworth & Vose Co. (H&V), an East Walpole, Mass.-based provider of nonwovens and technical papers, has launched its HVision™ technology platform for enhanced research and development (R&D) and commercialization of cutting-edge products.

According to Val Hollingsworth, president and  CEO, three primary principles drive the HVision development process: benchmarking the industry’s best performance on the customer’s most important parameters; developing technologies that go beyond the benchmarks to raise performance levels to new heights; and focusing on developing breakthrough core materials technologies appropriate for multiple products and markets.

“This R&D platform will provide customers with innovative products that offer new standards of excellence for the performance characteristics that matter most,” Hollingsworth said. “ In addition, it will accelerate product development cycles and improve quality.”

New H&V products developed using the new platform include PerForm™ high-efficiency-particulate-air/ultra-low-penetration-air filter media for clean-room applications; and NanoWave™ patented, extended-surface, high-loft synthetic media for bag filters compliant with American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers standards, offering triple the dirt-holding capacity of traditional media.
