Janesville Acoustics To Expand North Carolina Facility

Janesville Acoustics Inc., a Southfield, Mich.-based producer of fiber insulation for automotive applications, will invest $250,000 to expand its facility in Old Fort, N.C., adding 29 employees to its current full-time workforce of 96. The company received a $35,000 One North Carolina Fund grant to assist it with the expansion.

The company manufactures nonwoven fiber for carpet underlayment, and hood and dashboard insulation. In addition to its Old Fort facility, it maintains domestic manufacturing operations in Michigan and Ohio, and offshore operations in England, Germany and Mexico.
