VDMA's Guided ITMA Tours Considered A Success
The German Engineering Federation (VDMA) Textile Machinery Association received positive feedback
from the 120 attendees of its “Innovations — Made In Germany” guided tours at ITMA 2007.
Thirty-two exhibitors presented their products and technologies in three main areas: man-made fiber plants, spinning preparation and spinning machinery, and nonwovens machinery; weaving, knitting and braiding machinery; and washing, bleaching, dyeing, drying and finishing machinery.
“We carried out six tours altogether,” said Nicolai Strauch, press officer, VDMA’s Textile Machinery Association. “The participants highly appreciated the approach to provide a compact view of latest solutions. The information given during the tours enabled the attendees to plan a detailed visit of the respective companies afterwards.
“We are indebted to ITA Aachen and ITB Dresden,” Strauch continued. “Five employees from these two renowned university institutes did an excellent job by preparing the tours in the months and weeks before ITMA.”
