Solvay Announces Price Increase

Effective November 1 or as contracts allow, Houston-based Solvay Chemicals Inc. will raise the off-list prices of commodity grades of hydrogen peroxide by 4 cents per pound in the United States, and CA$88 per metric ton in Canada. The company will increase the price of export commodity grades by $88 per metric ton.

The company attributes the increase to rising transportation costs as well as increasing domestic and export demand.
