BASF Raises Glyoxal Prices

Effective immediately or as contacts allow, Germany-based BASF AG has increased the price of glyoxal — used in the manufacture of textiles, leather goods, polymers and papers, among other products — by 3 cents per pound in the United States, 40 euros per metric ton in Europe and $100 per metric ton in Asia.

The company attributes these increases to rising energy and raw materials costs.
