ATC To Open New Facility
American Textile Co. (ATC), a
Duquesne, Pa.-based manufacturer of bedding products that feature such performance characteristics
as allergen barriers, flame resistance, stain repellency and skin health enhancement, will open a
new manufacturing and distribution operation next month in Dallas.
The 105,000-square-foot facility is the company’s third, and continues a trend of expansion that began early this year with the completion of a 83,000-square-foot expansion at ATC’s headquarters. That expansion resulted in the addition of 50 employees at the facility. ATC also recently opened a manufacturing and distribution facility in Salt Lake City and a sales showroom in New York City.
With the opening of the Dallas facility, ATC estimates it will employ 375 employees by the end of 2008 — 260 in Duquesne and 115 in Dallas and Salt Lake City.
“American Textile will continue to see strong growth over the next several years,” said Jack Ouellette, president and CEO. “We have developed a group of highly effective and professional leaders at the vice president and middle manager levels. With effective leadership and solid customer relationships, we will bring trend-right products to the market at affordable prices.”< /font> September 25, 2007
