VF Sportswear Implements 7thOnline Solutions

Greensboro, N.C.-based VF Corp.’s VF Sportswear Inc. subsidiary has selected two assortment planning and optimization tools from 7thOnline Inc., New York City, to help it better communicate with and meet the needs of its retail customers.

The 7thOnline eShowroom solution will aid VF Sportswear in managing relationships with specialty retailers by providing its buyers with real-time product information and images. The solution, accessible remotely to buyers at any time, also will enable orders to be transmitted electronically.

The 7thOnline Assortment Planning tool will allow VF Sportswear brands to create optimal assortment plans for retailers based on individual retail location before going to market. Plan information may be shared in real time between VF associates and buyers, improving buying and inventory decisions.

VF Sportswear already has begun implementing these solutions within its Kipling® and Nautica® brands.

“The 7thOnline Web-driven approach to assortment planning provides immediate improvements in sales, customer service, fill rates and inventory management,” said Martin Schneider, vice president and chief investment officer, VF Corp. “These tools allow for real-time collaboration with our retail partners, and help our brands to effectively manage global demand.”
