Coats Implements Datacolor Conditioner For Global Color Management

Coats plc, an England-based global manufacturer of sewing thread and needlecraft products, has selected Lawrenceville, N.J.-based Datacolor’s Conditioner™ machines to ensure color consistency throughout its global operations, which are located in more than 60 countries.

According to Datacolor, the Conditioner conditions color samples at fixed temperature and humidity before measurements are taken, thus ensuring consistency of the samples by eliminating differences resulting from the environmental variables from one location to another. Features include compact size, glass inner door to enable viewing of samples during conditioning, five- to 10-minute conditioning times, precise temperature to within 0.5°C; less than four minutes’ recovery time after opening the door, easy installation and ability to use tap water for the humidity system. Datacolor also maintains a global network of engineers for onsite technical support.
