Pakistani Mill Receives Second Thermex Range

Sareena Dyeing, part of Pakistan-based Sareena Industries and Embroidery Mills Group, has received its second Thermex continuous dyeing range from A. Monforts Textilmaschinen GmbH & Co. KG, Germany. The installation is part of the group’s expansion program that will ultimately enable it to meet a finished design capacity goal of 2 million meters per month. The group, which has 3,000 employees, includes Pakistan’s largest embroidery operation, with 35 embroidery machines.

According to Asif Masood, general manager, Technical, Sareena Industries, the company chose the Thermex 6500 based on Monforts’ reputation and the reliability of its equipment, in addition to the support provided by Al Ameed Trading Co., Monforts’ representative in Pakistan.

The Thermex range, which comprises three Thermex modules and two infrared dryers, features a working width of 1.8 meters, and fabric flow speeds of 45 to 50 meters per minute.

Sareena will use the new range to dye 100-percent cotton and polyester/cotton woven fabrics, and provide peach, mole skin, soft, soil-release, Teflon®, wrinkle-free and water-repellent finishes.
