Outlast, Cocoon Partner To Produce Sleeping Bag Liner
Boulder, Colo.-based Outlast
Technologies Inc. has partnered with Cocoon by Design Salt, an Austria-based manufacturer of
outdoor and travel sleep systems, to produce the first sleeping bag liner made with Outlast®
temperature-regulating technology. The Cocoon® Thermaliner, the latest product in Outlast licensee
Cocoon’s MummyLiner™ range, is made from a soft, breathable mid-weight CoolMax® fabric that
features wicking capabilities.
“The Thermaliner is infused with Outlast technology to help you maintain a more constant temperature so you sleep better and stay comfortable all night long,” said Greg Roda, president and CEO, Outlast Technologies. “The Infusion™ technology process uses an advanced formulation to provide a cost-effective way to add technology to everyday clothing and products without changing the hand feel. This liner is an exciting first for us and we’re glad to have Cocoon as a partner.”
The new Thermaliner recently debuted at the 2007 Outdoor Retailer Summer Market, and is set to hit retail stores in spring 2008. Men’s and women’s sizes will be available in a range of colors.
