Kasbar Increases Needlepunch Capacity

Kasbar National Industries Inc. - a Broomall, Pa.-based manufacturer of quilted fabrics, high-loft fiberfill and needlepunch nonwovens; and converter of man-made-fiber woven piece goods - is adding a third needlepunch line at its 207,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Columbia, Tenn. The new line, expected to come online by the first quarter of 2008, is 5.3 meters wide and offers an annual capacity of 8 million pounds - bringing the company’s total needlepunch capacity to 18 million pounds per year.
