SATO Opens Headquarters

Tokyo-based SATO Corp. - a manufacturer of thermal transfer printers and direct thermal, original equipment manufacturer print engines, printer accessories, thermal transfer ribbons, and label design software and labels - has opened three new regional headquarters in order to better manage its subsidiaries, including recently acquired businesses in France and New Zealand.

SATO International Asia-Pacific Pte. Ltd., Singapore, SATO International Europe NV, Belgium, and SATO International America Inc., Charlotte, are led by directors promoted from within the SATO group, who manage both their respective countries of business and regional subsidiaries.

“It is essential, at this stage of our international expansion, that our GMCs [Group Member Companies] have the self-organization capabilities to achieve the corporate goals; they will have to set goals, and formulate and implement strategies to achieve them,” said Toshihiro Waki, managing director, SATO International.
