SANS Fibres Sells Product Lines To United Yarn
South Africa-based SANS Fibres, a
specialty nylon and polyester yarn manufacturer that has a US joint venture operation in
Stonefield, N.C., has agreed to sell its Fiberbrite™ and Colorcord™ solution-dyed, high-tenacity
polyester yarn business to Wayne, N.J.-based United Yarn Products Co. Inc. in an effort to focus on
its core business areas.
“This will liberate much needed capacity for Sans to supply more adhesive-activated, specialized automotive and low-shrink yarns,” said Zach Zacharias, sales and marketing executive, Sans Fibres. “Sans will work with United Yarn to assure continuity of service to Sans’ customers and help in the transition to United Yarn’s equivalent products.”
