The Hydraulic Institute (HI) , Parsippany, N.J., has made available US and international reports offered in conjunction with the Institute for Trend Research. Subscription options and prices are available at the Membership section of the HI website, located at www.pumps.org. HI also has made available “ Mechanical Seals for Pumps: Application Guidelines.” In addition, HI initiative Pump Systems Matter™ , a non-profit education association, has made available free of charge educational software at www.pumpsystemsmatter.org. In other news, HI now offers the opportunity for pump users and engineering consultants to become Standards Partners. Frost & Sullivan , a growth consulting firm with offices worldwide, recently presented its 2006 Product Innovation of the Year Award to Switzerland-based Schoeller Textil AG for Schoeller’s c_change™ temperature-regulating, water- and wind-proof membrane technology.

The China Textiles Development Center and the China Textile Information Center recently presented Hong Kong-based Fountain Set (Holdings) Ltd. with the Fabrics China Award for Technical Innovation 2006 for its application of Boulder, Colo.-based Outlast Technologies Inc. ’s temperature-regulating Outlast® technology.
